OKWA 2012 CENTRAL REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

GATE FEE: $3 Adults, $2 Students, Children 6 & under Free

ENTRY FEES: $15.00 all entries must be prepaid.

Entries must be entered on the OKWA website.

Entry & payment deadline is Saturday, February 4, 2011 @ 5:00p.m.

NO LATE ENTRIES.

Payment must be mailed to the regional tournament director.

Entry fees for no shows and wrestlers not making weight will not be refunded.

A 2 lb. weight allowance for Division V will be in effect

*There is a maximum weight of 285 lbs. for all divisions.

PROTEST AND MISCONDUCT COMMITTEE:

A committee will handle any protest or misconduct that occurs at the Regional Tournament.  A $25.00 cash deposit will be posted for each protest. If ruled against, the money will go to the Regional Tournament Funds and if ruled for, the money will be returned.

RULES:

No coaches or parents are allowed in weigh-in area

(unless requested by tournament official)

All heavy weights must weigh in                      

Hair and fingernail code will be enforced

All contestants must weigh in wearing an unmodified competition singlet

Digital scales will be used

There will be no weight allowances

(except for a 2 lb. weight allowance in Div. V)

CHILD ABUSE OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

OKWA and National Federation Rules with the following exceptions:

No riding time

No rest period between matches

No headgear required

No age protests

A no-show counts as a loss

Double elimination and NO challenges for second place

MATCH TIME/FORMAT

Div. I: 1 - 1 - 1 minute -All matches

Div. II-V: 1 ½ -1 ½ -1 ½ minutes -Championship

Div. II-V: 1 - 1 - 1 minute -Consolation

Div. II-V: 1 ½ -1 ½ -1 ½ minutes -Consolation Finals

(including 5^th & 6^th place)

Overtime: Follow National Federation Rules

AWARDS:

Individual awards will be presented for 1^st through 6^th.

Team awards will be presented for 1^st through 3^rd in all divisions.

All 1^st - 6^th placers in each weight will count towards the team’s total points.

Points are as follows:

1^ST=12pts; 2^ND= 9pts; 3^RD= 6pts; 4^TH= 4pts; 5^TH= 2pts; 6^TH=1pt

COACHES PASSES:

Each team will be issued coach’s passes at the seeding meeting.

1-5 Wrestlers =     1 Pass

6-10 Wrestlers =   2 Passes

11-15 Wrestlers = 3 Passes

16-20 Wrestlers = 4 Passes

STATE ENTRY FEE:

State Entry fees will be paid at Regional’s by one team check or cash payment.

Each club is responsible for payment for all qualifiers Division I-V, whether they are or are not planning to attend State.

Tuttle Public Schools & Tuttle Takedown Club assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or theft.
