YMCA STATE TOURNAMENT

ENTRY FEES:  $15.00 PER ENTRY.  Teams must be paid by one check at the time of weigh-in.  Each wrestler entered must be paid.  No-shows and wrestlers not making weight will not be refunded.  Wrestlers may enter one weight in one division. Make checks payable to: Pawhuska Elks Wrestling

 

If you are not currently a YMCA member, you can join for only $20 per team.  Make checks payable to: Stillwater YMCA.  Registration and dues can be accepted at Tournament weigh –in.

WEIGH -IN:  Saturday January 16, 6:00 A.M. – 8:00 A.M.  (All Divisions)  Singlet only. NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE.  Weigh-in location:  Pawhuska High School Gymnasium, 1500 Lynn Ave.  Pawhuska, OK.

Coach’s Meeting: 8:45 A.M. Coach’s passes will be available to those authorized to receive them.  (1 to 5=1; 6 to 10=2; 11 to 15=3, 16 to 20=4, 21 or more =5)

 

WEIGHTS & DIVISIONS:

Division I (6 & Under):  37, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52, 55, 60, 66, HWT*

Division II (8 & Under):  43, 46, 49, 52, 55, 58, 61, 64, 67, 70, 75, 83, 90, 105, HWT*

Division III (10 & Under): 52, 55, 58, 61, 64, 67, 70, 73, 76, 80, 85, 90, 100, 110, 120, 131, HWT*

Division IV (12 & Under):  64, 67, 70, 73, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92, 96, 100, 105, 110, 120, 130, 140, 160, HWT*

Division V (15 & Under):  78, 86, 94, 102, 110, 118, 126, 134, 142, 152, 165, 185, HWT*

*275 lb. limit (Division V will have a 2 lb. Growth allowance)

 

FORMAT/RULES:  Double elimination.  All officials’ decisions are final.  Challenge matches by request for 3rd place finishers who lost to the champion.  No formal seeding. Wrestlers need proof of age, if challenged.  “Certificate of Live Birth” birthday cutoff is September 1, 2009. 

 

REGULATION MATCHES: 

Div. I:    1 - 1 - 1 minute - All matches
Div. II-V:  1 ½ -1 ½ -1 ½ minutes - Championship and Consolation Finals
Div. II-V:  1 - 1 - 1 minute - Consolation

TOURNAMENT STARTS PROMPTLY AT 9:00 A.M. – ALL DIVISIONS

 

AWARDS:  Individuals 1st thru 4th will receive plaques.  Champions will also receive commemorative Oklahoma State Champion T-Shirt and patch.  Teams 1st and 2nd in each division will receive trophies.

 

GATE ADMISSION:  $ 3.00 Adults; $ 2.00 Students and Seniors:  ALL Coaches must pay to get in and will be reimbursed in your team packet.

 

Excellent hospitality room will be provided.
